Received your letter, also letter from Mrs Rodger** and xxxxx Brown. Dad and Mom also.
Thanks very much for the cigs, they were a godsend as didn't have any, very scarce. Good to hear the news about wee Agnes, she'll be a big girl now. Hope we make it for new year, hope so. Reg* and I are keeping well, but homesick. News is OK, but write more often. can only write a limited number of letters per month. 2 letters and 4 cards only. Cheerio. Lots of love, kisses to little Agnes, god less. Lawrence
