Prison Life
Lawrence was initally incarcerated in Heydekrug (28 March 1944 - 16 July 1944). On the 11 August 1944 he was transferred, along with Reg Favager to Fallingbostel. As the allies neared the camp, all the fit inmates were marched towards the Elbe (6 April 1945). Shortly after this time they were caught up by the Allied troops and released.
