Information Required

Compiling this record in to the circumstances of the loss of Lancaster A4-K on the night of 15th March 1944 has been very difficult, due to the time lapsed since it all happened. Without the internet, it may well have proven to be impossible. The internet does, however, have it's own and many frustrations!

My special thanks go to the Favager Family.

David for the initial contact and diary extracts. To Pat Thomas (Reg's Daughter) for her support and to the Favager family in Australia for their comments.

During my research, I came across the story of another 115 sqn lost aircraft. http://www.need-family.demon.co.uk/ tells the story of Lancaster LL640. Thank you to Mike Need for his sound advice and contacts. Very much appreciated.

Thank you also to Erich from the WW2 Warbirds website, (www.ww2aircraft.net) who was able to confirm the original details of the flight and give a solid footing to the beginnings of my enquiries.

Thank you also to my Family, for all the interesting photographs and anecdotes, which have made the story so much more 'closer to home'.

Needless to say, if you have any relevant information, photographs or video, which you are willing to allow to be used please get in touch with me. All will be gratefully received.
